Difference between Ion Plating(IP) and Vacuum Plating
Electroplating process of our stainless steel jewelry is divided into three kinds, including vacuum ion plating(IP), vacuum plating and water electroplating. For the thickness of layer, it is influenced by the electroplating process and electroplating time, the longer the plating time, the thicker the plating layer is and the longer the color preserve. Below is a brief comparison of ion plating, vacuum plating and water galvanization color durability.
- Black Color Plated
- Blue Color Plated
- Multi-Color Plated
- 18K Gold Plated
- Rose Gold Plated
Electroplating Process | Feature | Metal Color | Color Durability |
---|---|---|---|
Vacuum Ion Plating(IP) | Vacuum plating process complex, environment and equipment requirements, for the green environmental protection technology. Electroplating in the vacuum oven, and color retention time longer. | Real Gold Plated (18K, 24K) |
Usually 1 Year |
Real Rose Gold Plated | Usually 6~12 Months | ||
Multi-Color | Usually 6~12 Months | ||
Blue | Usually 6~12 Months | ||
Vacuum Plating | Vacuum plating process complex, environment and equipment requirements, for the green environmental protection technology. Electroplating outside the vacuum oven. | Real Gold Plated (18K, 24K) |
Usually 1 Year |
Real Rose Gold Plated | Usually 6 Months | ||
Water Plating | "Water plating" liquid is processed in an aqueous solution. | Real Gold Plated (18K, 24K) |
Usually 6 Months |
Golden Plated | Usually 3~6 Months |
